The Colonial Secretary,
Hongkong.
Sir,
I have the honour by request to forward here- -with particulars of the Opium seized in the various Ports of the Commonwealth during the year 1916-19.
The drug was prepared, and of Macao origin, branded Lim Kee, this appears to be the main source of supply as very little of any other Brand reaches us, we have had recently small quantity from Sandakan, but our Analyst states that it is of no Commercial value.
We have not had the Hongkong prepared Opium for some considerable time now, this fact is I think owing to excellent manner in which it is packed.
